WEDGE WIRE SCREEN

 

WEDGE WIRE SCREEN.

 

WEDGE WIRE SCREEN consists of Surface Profile (Profile Wire / Wedge Wire) and Support Fin (Support Rod) welding. The distance between surface profiles is called 'slot' and it filtrates impurities of flow.

WEDGE WIRE SCREEN is being utilized in a wide variety of industrial area. (Groundwater development, Water treatment, Refining & Petrochemical, Pulp & Paper, Food & Beverage, Mining Industry, Architecture & Construction etc.) 

It is considered as optimal choice for substitution of existing metal mesh filters.

KOREA SLOT provides both Flat type and Cylindrical type of Wedge Wire Screen products with a wide variety of slot sizes ranging from 50microns (0.05mm) to 20mm and serves various stainless steels (304, 304L, 316, 316L, Duplex, Monel, Titanium etc) to meet customer's requirements.

③ Multi-Layers Sintered Filter. (Wire Mesh Combination)

Multi-Layers Sintered Filter (5-layers are mainly used) is the most resistant to pressure, due to its construction of multi-layers of wire-mesh with the reinforced layers by plain-Dutch woven wire-mesh.

KOREA SLOT Multi-layers sintered filter provides filtering range from 3 to 200 micron-meters. Standard material is SUS316L and special materials (Hastelloy, Inconel, Monel, Nickel etc.) are available as well. Characteristics of Layers sintered filter are:

1. High mechanical strength due to reinforcing support layers.

2. High accuracy.

3. Heat resistance up to 480℃. (He liquid)

4. Washability due to the surface filtration structure.

② Sintered Metal Fiber Filter.

 

KOREA SLOT Sintered Metal Fiber Filter consists of extremely fine metal fiber ranging from 0.25 to 100 micron-meters. It is a non-woven sintered cloth media. While sintered wire-mesh media provides surface filtration, sintered metal fiber media enables surface and internal filtration. Standard material is SUS316L and special materials (Hastelloy R, Inconel 601, and Fecralloy) are also available to meet customer's specific applications. Characteristics of Sintered Metal Fiber Filter are:

1. Higher air-permeability compared to other media.

2. Lower pressure drop.

3. Higher dirt retention capacity.

4. Longer filter life.

5. Durable under high pressure and temperature.

6. Superior anti corrosive properties.

7. Reusable by surface cleaning

The Sintered Metal Fiber Filters are widely used throughout the world for water treatment, petrochemical, chemistry, semiconductor pharmaceutical etc.

1. Petrochemical & Refining ① Support Grid.

 

① Support Grid.

KOREA SLOT offers the Support Grid of versatile circular flat screen. It is used to retain and support catalyst/media and reduce the loss of expensive catalyst/media as well. Support Grid is mainly used in axial flow processes including Hydro-treating, Ion exchanger, Hydro-desulphurization, Gas Driers, Hydrocracking, Alkylation and Sand Filters etc.

KOREA SLOT designs and manufactures a wide range of different types of Support Grid construction, depending on conditions of application and customer's specific requirements.

Support Grids are also commonly installed with other Tower Internals components such as Outlet Collectors and Inlet Distributors that can be supplied by KOREA SLOT as well.

4. Metal Filter. ① Wire Mesh Filter.

Wire-Mesh Filter consists of woven wires of various gauges and composition, which many industries use for absorbing, filtering, or evaporation. KOREA SLOT provides wire-mesh products in commonly used shapes, sizes, configurations, materials and according to customer's various specifications with the option of gasket. Used for separating air or liquids from contaminants or microscopic particles, wire filters must be acid, corrosion, and heat resistant.

The mesh of Wire-Mesh Filter describes the number of holes in square inch of the weaves. (100 mesh indicates that 100 holes in square inch of the weaves). The size of mesh depends on the size of the particle that must be trapped in the filter.

KOREA SLOT Wire-Mesh Filter can appear in different patterns, which creates different strengths, sizes of wire mesh and filtration ability.

④ Scum Drum Screen.

 

KOREA SLOT Scum Drum Screen is another multi-purpose filter assembly that slotted cylindrical wedge wire drum rotates on two pillow block bearings. The rotary drum is driven by a motor fitted to a shaft-mounted gearbox. This type of screen is fed externally and drained via the outer screen surface.

Raw influent enters a head-box which distributes the flow evenly across the full length of the rear, upper external surface of the rotating drum. As water passes through the screen, solids are retained on the upper outside of the screen drum and are carried to the front of the screen where they are removed by a fixed doctor blade.

Scum Drum Screen has three methods of maintaining clean screen openings:

1. The doctor blade scrapes the solids from the face of the screen surface.

2. The screened water cascades down inside the drum and falls through the            bottom, creating a vigorous backwash action.

3. Automatic and cyclic internal water sprays of screen drum.

KOREA SLOT Scum Drum Screen is capable of solid filtration with various slot openings range from 50microns (0.05mm) to 20mm. It is ideally suited for effluents containing high oil or grease loadings.

③ Sieve Band Screen.

KOREA SLOT sieve bend screens are used in static sieves for either dewatering or classification of materials. It separates solids from liquids, the curved screen of a sieve bend provides greater capacity than flat wedge screens due to increased gravitational forces on material flowing against the curve. This successive wires and rods welding assembly creates a sieve, which presents more edges to the flow for superior separation efficiency.

Dewatering and classification capability of the screen is determined by the percentage of open area. KOREA SLOT Wedge Wire sieve bend screens can be made and designed for application in a wide range of industries such as:
